Brittany and I are now sitting in Pearson Airport. Check in went really well. Yeah! It took several tries at home to get all 4 check in bags 50 lb. or less. Good news is that our scale at home records a higher weight than the one at the airport :)
Thank you Ali for letting us know that you carry your pillow with you. We both brought ours and Brittany is already using it by laying on my shoulder.
Looks like we have beat our plane to the gate. Out hope now is that Brittany and I get to sit together! For some reason our Sears agent (NOT Bernadette) booked our tickets without assigning seats together. Here's praying that we'll have neighbouring seats.
Brittany "isn't looking anywhere but forward. She likes the view." Poetic she is. She feels relieved that all the packing, planning and goodbye's are done, tears have been shed, and so it begins! She's very excited about what's to come this year, starting today. We now have 30 hours to digest it all, and start our travel adventures.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to visit, say your goodbyes, write your notes, and for your prayers and encouragement. It means so much!
With love,
Kim (& Brittany)
Hi Auntie Kim & Brittany!!
ReplyDeletePosting your travels like this is such a great idea! A journal that you can share with everyone and look back on, so great. I hope you have a safe flight, and that your travels are full of adventure and great moments together. What a journey that awaits you both!! I remember when I was off to University...although not quite as far as Australia...but away from home nonetheless. It was an exciting time of self discovery and growth...but I found that I grew even closer to my parents even though I'd never been so far away. There is something that happens when we leave the "nest"...I think it is like looking back into a mirror...and the reflection we see is all the love and support our parents ever gave us that makes us what we are today.
Im so excited for you Brittany!!! I look forward to reading about your adventures!!
Love from out West!
